OUR STORIES

YOUR FREEDOM

WELCOME TO

THE SERVICEWOMEN PROJECT

We collect stories that reflect the breadth of experiences of enlisted women who served in the U.S. military. We focus on self-identifying women who served in the post-9/11 era. The stories collected touch on a variety of themes such as combat, race, sexuality, pregnancy, menstruation, and sexual assault. We hope that these nuanced stories provide a holistic view into a woman’s experience in the military.

Please take a look around and if you have any questions contact us. If you are interested in getting involved, please click here.

We would like to thank Dartmouth College and the Stamps Foundation for their unwavering support and dedication to the veteran community.
